LOS DOS CREADORES DE LA MÚSICA EN ADOLESCENCE MOKUSHIROKU.

Shinkichi Mitsumune y J.A.Seazer son los dos encargados de la banda sonora de Adolescence Mokushiroku. Ambos trabajarían juntos en 1996 con la serie de televisión Shoujo Kakumei Utena. Mitsumune es el responsable de las piezas instrumentales, mientras que J.A.Seazer compuso los extraordinarios Coros de Duelo que hiciera famosa a la serie y que repetiría su fórmula para la película.

Shinkichi Mitsumune es uno de los compositores de música para anime más reconocidos en su género, junto con Yoko Kanno, Hajime Mizoguchi o Testuya Komoro. Sus trabajos más sobresalientes se encuentran en Shoujo Kakumei Utena y Furi Kuri.

La fórmula de Mitsumune para la música instrumental de Adolescence Mokushiroku es esencialmente la misma que para la serie de TV: música influenciada en jazz, de corte afrancesado, y numerosas piezas de inimaginable sensualidad. Numerosas ejecuciones en piano, violín y saxofón.

 















 

Por su parte, J.A.Seazer es el autor de los Coros de Duelo de Shoujo Kakumei Utena, que no son sino canciones interpretadas por el grupo Banyu Inryoku Engeki Jikkenshitsu (Drama Laboratory Universal Gravitation), famosa asociación teatral de danza y música contemporánea, o performance, dirigida por éste compositor.

Seazer es uno de los íconos culturales de la sociedad japonesa de la década de los 70's y 80's. Es uno de los compositores más radicales de su época, e imprime una notoria y estrambótica forma de pensar en sus composiciones.

Seazer dirige las puestas en escena de su grupo teatral, que en varias ocasiones han interpretados obras escritas y planeadas por el famoso director cinematográfico Shuji Terayama, reconocido por sus cintas de carácter artístico tragico-erótico.

 

 

El trabajo de J.A.Seazer para Be PAPAS comienza en 1996 cuando el director Ikuhara lo invita a participar en el proyecto, conocedor de sus aptitudes y de sus aportaciones. De ésta manera, se consolidaría una unión en la que Seazer regresaría a los foros televisivos desde hace ya más de 10 años de ausencia.

Entre los trabajos más interesantes de J.A.Seazer se encuentran las puestan en escena Automatos (1993) y Darwin (1995), donde se tratan temas tales como la evolución, la existencia del hombre sobre la máquina, la superioridad del hombre sobre las otras formas de vida, la divinidad, el juego del bien y el mal, Lucifer, entre otras cuestiones filosóficas, abordadas a manera de performance.

Las composiciones de Seazer para Adolescence Mokushiroku se encuentran compiladas en los OST 6, 7 y 8 de los Soundtracks de Shoujo Kakumei Utena.

        

 

 

 

UNA NUEVA VOZ Y UNA NUEVA PROPUESTA: OIKAWA MITSUHIRO.

Oikawa Mitsuhiro es quien canta el tema de salida de Adolescence Mokushiroku, llamado Fiancee ni Naritai ("Busco en tí una prometida"). Oikawa es uno de los ídolos del mundo pop japones; Inició su carrera en 1992 con el álbum Morality, y desde entonces ha sacado numerosos sencillos, de los cuales destacan la versión original de Fiancee ni naritai (1996), Wasurete Shimaitai (1997), Miss Abantyuru (1998), Pazuru no Kakera (1999), Crazy a Go Go (2000), y Kokoro no Yami (2001).

 

 

Oikawa no es solamente cantante de jpop; también es un reconocido actor de series de televisión; su trabajo más destacado es como el villano de la serie With Love, que se transmite en Japon desde 1995.

Cabe señalar que Oikawa Mitsuhiro nunca había incursionado en el terreno del anime hasta 1999, con Adolescence Mokushiroku. No solamente permitió que su sencillo de 1996 fuera re-adaptado para la cinta, sino que participa dando voz a Ohtori Akio.

 

 

Uno de los mayores atractivos que Oikawa ofrece al público japonés, es su singular androginia; impone modas estrafalarias, como lo es usar estolas de plumas, o plataformas de 15 centímetros, por no citar la famosa portada de su disco "The Desire Enclyclopedia" (La enciclopedia del Deseo, 1997), donde se pone de manifiesto lo anterior.

En parte es ésta moda lo que impulsó al Director Ikuhara a invitar a Oikawa Mitsuhiro a participar en su película; es curioso observar como el nuevo diseño de Ohtori Akio está influenciado en la imagen comercial de Oikawa.

La nueva versión de Fiancee ni Naritai se editó en julio de 1999 con arreglos sinfónicos de Shinkichi Mitsumune, eliminando 4 estrofas de la versión original. Dicha melodía no está incluída en ningún álbum de Shoujo Kakumei Utena, y aparece en el DVD del concierto en vivo del cantante, con motivo de la llegada del año 2000, y es con esta canción que abre el show.

        

 

 

 

CANTANDO PARA LA REVOLUCIÓN: MASAMI OKUI

 

 

Masami Okui es una de las cantantes de Jpop que con mayor frecuencia presta su voz para temas de anime y videojuegos; por si fuera poco, la mayoría de sus composiciones son de su propia autoría. King Records es su casa productora.

Actualmente cuenta con alrededor de 6 discos, algunos de ellos compilaciones de sus múltiples sencillos, todos generalmente sonando en series animadas. Uno de sus discos, llamado Best-Est, es una compilación doble de sus éxitos, en vivo.

Ésta cantante ha participado en numerosas series como lo son Slayers y sus correspondientes temporadas, Megami Paradise, Cyber Team in Akihabara, y por supuesto, Shoujo Kakumei Utena.

 

 

Masami Okui participa en Adolescence Mokushiroku con 2 temas: el primero es una versión mix del Opening de la serie, y que tiene por nombre Adolescence Rush, Rinbu Revolution; los nuevos arreglos son de Shinkichi Mitsumune y tiene un toque pop-tecno. El segundo tema se llama Toki ni Ai wa (Hay veces que el amor...), y se ha convertido en la Image Song de ésta cinta. Aparece en la película alrededor del minuto 44, y está editada de su versión original.

Las dos canciones que aparecen en Masami Okui han sido, como en el caso de Oikawa Mitsuhiro, que interpreta el Closing Theme, canciones que ya habían sido escritas con anterioridad y que el director Ikuhara decidiera retomar.

Adolescence Mokushiroku cuenta con 2 bandas sonoras; una de ellas es el Soundtrack de la cinta, mientras que el otro es una compilación de canciones alusivas a ésta (Image Songs). Además hay un CD Single que incluye el tema Toki ni Ai wa en versión Full Size y karaoke.
